Our method

How we pick the products

You don’t need ten options. You need the right one, within your budget. Here is exactly how we find it — and what we don’t claim.

One product per price tier

For every category, we split the market into price tiers and keep a single product per tier. No top 10, no endless ranking: one answer per budget.

Depending on how wide the market is, a category has up to five.

What we read before we write

  • Buyer reviews. What keeps coming up, good and bad, and how many buyers say it. “22 of the 31 buyers who mention performance” can be checked; “a great product” can’t.
  • Published tests. Reviews by specialist outlets and test videos, when there are any, with their source.
  • Amazon.ca data. Average rating, number of reviews, current price and availability, checked regularly.

The selection rules

  • A rating of at least 4 out of 5, backed by more than 100 reviews. Below that, a rating doesn’t say much.
  • The right price for its tier. A product has to stay within the price bounds of the tier it sits in.
  • The function the category promises. A “smart humidifier” that doesn’t connect has no place in the category, however good it is.

Every claim says where it comes from

A page cites its sources. A page that asserts without attributing is refused before it goes live. And a flaw reported by buyers stays on the page, even on the product we picked.

A selection that keeps moving

Prices, ratings and stock are tracked continuously. When a product leaves its price tier or stays out of stock, a replacement is found by the same rules — and the page keeps the same address.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t test products in a lab, and we don’t receive them from brands. Our pages don’t tell a first-hand story: they report what buyers and testers say.
  • Nobody pays to appear on Novyxo. No brand and no seller has any say in the selection.
  • We don’t show exact prices in our lists: prices move every day. You see a range, and the current price on Amazon.

How we make a living

Novyxo takes part in Amazon’s affiliate program. When you buy through one of our links, we earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. It is our only source of income: no ads, no sponsored products. The details are in the legal notice.

Transparency: artificial intelligence

Our pages are written by artificial intelligence agents that we designed and supervise. They write only from the sources described above, and an automated check refuses any page that doesn’t attribute what it claims.

Part of the catalogue still carries our earlier texts, written with the help of an AI assistant from Amazon data, then reviewed by us. It is being rewritten over the coming months.
