Gasland BMD2412S
Best Family-sized microwave ~1,6 cuft – Indecent – 1050 $ to 1450 $
We chose the GASLAND BMD2412S for households replacing a microwave drawer that fits its cabinet opening. Buyers consistently praise its appearance, quality and simple controls, and several say it works well. It is a practical middle-ground choice when fit and everyday usability matter more than a published performance test.
The GASLAND BMD2412S is our choice in the Indecent range because buyer feedback is strongest on the things that matter in a replacement drawer: it looks good, fits the existing opening for several buyers, and is easy to use. Buyers also describe it as roomy inside and working well. The installation experience is mixed, and durability is the serious reservation: Amazon's theme summary records 8 unfavorable durability mentions against 2 favorable ones, including reports of breakage within about a year and a half, a deteriorating door, and a broken handle. Those reports come from some buyers, but they are predominantly unfavorable and should be weighed before purchase.
Who it’s for For someone replacing a microwave drawer who wants a good-looking unit with straightforward controls and a roomy interior, provided the cabinet opening and electrical connection are checked first.

Why this microwave drawer fits its role
The strongest buyer pattern is practical rather than technical. Amazon's buyer themes count 29 quality mentions, with 26 favorable, and 11 appearance mentions, all favorable. Buyers describe a good-looking unit that works well, while several say it fits the opening left by an older microwave. One verified buyer called it easy to use and good-looking; another said it was the right size and worked well. These comments make it a sensible replacement for a compatible cabinet opening.
Easy controls, with one sound-related catch
Amazon's buyer themes count 10 mentions about ease of use, 7 favorable and 3 unfavorable. Buyers describe the controls as intuitive, and one verified buyer said the microwave was easy to use. The same buyer feedback is divided on sound: 5 favorable and 5 unfavorable mentions. One verified buyer specifically found the end chime and timer sound seriously quiet, even after trying to increase the volume. That is a usability detail worth knowing if audible alerts matter to you.
Installation depends on the replacement setup
Installation is not a clear strength across the buyer feedback. Amazon's theme count is 15 mentions, with 9 favorable and 6 unfavorable. Some buyers found installation easy, especially when replacing another unit. Another verified buyer reported that the top-cabinet template did not account for a bulge at the back, leading to incorrectly drilled front holes and extra correction work. Check the opening, mounting details and power connection before committing.
The durability reservation is substantial
Durability is the main reason to pause. Amazon's theme summary records 10 mentions: 2 favorable and 8 unfavorable. Buyers report breakage in less than a year and a half, a deteriorating door, a handle breaking after a month, a plug breaking into pieces and a fragile metal support. These are buyer reports, not a published test, but the balance of comments is clearly unfavorable. No recognized magazine or technology or home-appliance outlet has published a hands-on test of this model.
